Making Robotics Education Accessible

Democratizing Educational Robotics

Aperta Robotics is a non-profit association that organizes Apertix, Catalonia's largest open robotics competition. In this competition, which has been held annually for 9 years, participants can create and innovate by designing a robot to solve the proposed challenge. We stand out for not being tied to any specific brand and offering participants the freedom to use whatever materials they find most suitable. Throughout this journey, we have managed to impact:

How We Make It Possible

A Sustainable and Transparent Model

Our sustainability model is based on keeping costs as low as possible for schools and participants while ensuring the competition's viability and quality. We achieve this through three main sources: minimal registration fees, sales of competition fields, and most importantly, support from our sponsors.

  • Develop and maintain the necessary infrastructure for the competition
  • Coordinate in-person events throughout the territory
  • Create new challenges and materials each season

This transparent and sustainable model allows us to fulfill our mission of bringing educational robotics to all schools in Catalonia, regardless of their resources.
